If you're at all curious to know what it's like to successfully search for, find and study the Ivory-billed Woodpecker, then you will enjoy the new book
Ghost Birds: Jim Tanner and the Quest for the Ivory-billed Woodpecker, 1935–1941 by
Stephen Lynn Bales. I found it to be a truly fantastic read on so many levels.
